HARTFORD — Some quick analysis from No. 3 seed Purdue's 61-48 win over 14th-seeded Old Dominion Thursday night.
HUNTER COMES UP BIG
Imagine being in Eric Hunter's shoes Thursday night, essentially promoted to the starting five during pre-game warmups, literally minutes before the first NCAA Tournament game of your career. Oh, and you get the game's most important defensive matchup, guarding the guy Purdue was going to put its stopper on before its stopper slipped in pre-game warmups and sprained his ankle.
That was Eric Hunter's world Thursday night.
And at the end of that night, after a Purdue win: "I thought Eric Hunter was great," Matt Painter said.
And the numbers bear it out.
