KANSAS CITY — Purdue's memorable season is over, done in by Kansas in the Sweet 16 Thursday night after 27 Boilermaker wins, a Big Ten championship and a pair of NCAA Tournament victories.
Things will be different for Purdue next season. There will be some significant moving parts in the weeks and months to come on its roster, but a strong chance that Boilermakers return a proven, veteran corps capable of winning a lot of games against next year too.
A look at those moving parts …
CALEB SWANIGAN'S ANTICIPATED DEPARTURE
After a season that put him near the top of the National Player-of-the-Year leaderboard, Caleb Swanigan's days at Purdue are probably about up.
It is widely expected that the Boilermaker big man will enter the NBA Draft, though he does have the option again to enter the draft, then withdraw should he so choose.
To one's surprise, Swanigan didn't say much about the matter after the Kansas game.
"I haven't thought about it yet," he said.
