Purdue made headlines for inking perhaps its best class in the "Internet Era." And the centerpiece of the 2019 talent haul is a strong collection of receivers. One of the top signees: Milton Wright from Louisville, Ky., the home town of Purdue coach Jeff Brohm.

Wright attended Christian Academy of Louisville, a coed private school of 600 students that competes in the 2A classification. The program went 15-0 in 2018 en route to winning the state title. Wright finished his senior season with 67 receptions for 1,010 yards and 12 touchdowns. He also had 37 carries for 502 yards and nine rushing touchdowns as a senior.

Wright was named to the All-District team, All-Area Metro Louisville team and All-State team. He also was the Class 2A Player of the Year, a nominee for Courier-Journal Player of the Year and was selected to play in the Best of Bluegrass all-star game and Polynesian Bowl.

Wright has a 21-year old sister and a 1-year old brother. His mother stays at home while his father works in insurance. No doubt, his family will get to see him often in West Lafayette. GoldandBlack.com visited with Wright, who held offers from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State and Oregon.
