As it looks to stockpile perimeter shooting, Purdue offered a scholarship Friday to Carmel senior-to-be Ryan Cline during an unofficial visit, according to Cline's Twitter account.

The 6-foot-5 guard is considered one of the front-runners for next season's Indiana Mr. Basketball Award after averaging about 17 points per game and shooting 43-percent from three-point range.
Cline holds a handful of smaller-school offers, but has also fielded interest from Xavier and Butler and others.
Cline is close friends with new Purdue signee P.J. Thompson.
