More: Purdue 2018 targets

Purdue offered a scholarship Monday to Minnesota Class of 2018 center Adam Trapp during an unofficial visit, according to his Twitter account.

The 7-foot-2 big man from Esko High School also has a Big Ten offer from Iowa. DePaul has offered too.

Purdue coaches have seen Trapp extensively this spring while following Wisconsin Playground Warriors Tyler Herro, who was recently offered as well.

"I'm interested in (Purdue) because they know how to handle a big man," Trapp said this weekend at the Hensley Memorial Run 'N Slam in Fort Wayne. "They've had quite a few good ones in the past and they've run their offense through them. It's an interesting thing. Not a lot of people do that."
