Purdue's Albrecht processing being scooped by teammate Thompson

MILWAUKEE, Wis. — Spike Albrecht went all in.

After the 2013 national championship game, in which Albrecht scored 17 first-half points for Michigan with model Kate Upton in the stands watching, Albrecht took to Twitter to reach out.

Alas, Upton never responded.

Albrecht still is shaking off the disappointment.

Especially with the most recent development in his new locker room with Purdue. Fellow guard P.J. Thompson, a fan of "The Bachelor," made a pitch to Danielle Lombard, who recently left the show after not receiving a rose, via a TV interview. The TV reporter tweeted at Lombard with this:

And Lombard actually responded.

She tweeted, "aww so sweet! Thank you."
