A day before its second large-scale scrimmage of the spring, Purdue held a lighter workout on Friday.
The Boilermakers went about 90 minutes after starting early, while wearing helmets but no pads, inside Mollenkopf; they’ll be outside at Ross-Ade Stadium 10 a.m. Saturday for the first time this spring for a 100-play scrimmage.
Following are Friday observations:
• Purdue gave its defense a bit of a stress test, putting the pressure on to see where the leaks are.
And there are leaks, not entirely shocking for an 11th practice with a new scheme.
