Jeff Brohm held his first Monday press conference of the 2017 season, as Purdue prepares to take on Louisville Saturday night in Lucas Oil Stadium.

Following are notes from the presser:

• David Blough practiced on Sunday for the first time in more than two weeks after straining his throwing shoulder.

But that doesn't necessarily mean Blough will be ready to start. Brohm said Purdue will decide on a starter — Elijah Sindelar is the other possibility — in the next day or two.

"We're going to continue to evaluate it one more day and then evaluate it internally," Brohm said.

Although the decision will be made on Tuesday or Wednesday, the public might not know until Saturday, Brohm said.

"Sometimes you don't want to alert the opponent of who you're playing," he said, "and we don't know yet either."

• Brohm has described the offense as being the defense throughout camp, but he feels like it's made improvement recently.

That said, the Boilermakers are inexperienced on offense.

"We've got a lot of youth on offense, a lot who haven't played a lot at every position," he said. "We don't have the experience we have on the other side of the ball.

"On offense, all 11 have to do their jobs. If there's one weak link, it affects everybody. ... It takes all 11 on offense.

• Navon Mosley is Purdue's nickel back.

The sophomore was supplanted as the starting free safety during camp — Jacob Thieneman took over — but has rotated in as the extra DB. He started the last several games as the nickel at the last of last season.

"He's had a good camp," Brohm said.

• Purdue lists all five of its running back as co-starters, putting an "Or" down the list on its depth chart.

But Tario Fuller and Markell Jones might be a step ahead after good training camps.

"Feel very good about those guys," Brohm said.

But Brohm also listed D.J. Knox, Richie Worship and Brian Lankford-Johnson as ones who will also contribute on game days.
