Short honored as freshman All-American
Boilermaker defensive tackle Kawann Short has been named a first-team Freshman All-American by College Football News.
Starting every game for Purdue as a redshirt freshman, the 6-foot-4, 310-pounder made 48 tackles, four of them for loss. He also intercepted passes in the first and final games of the season.
He was Purdue's only starter of freshman eligibility.
