EAST HARTFORD, Conn. -- What we are talking about after the Purdue-UConn game.
1. Purdue did what it was supposed to do vs. a hapless foe: It won with ease.
The offense lost a yard on its first drive, then it ripped off 359 yards and five TDs to end the opening half leading 35-0. The attack finished with 562 yards and delivered the most lopsided victory of the Jeff Brohm era.
This was a nice confidence boost to both sides of the ball as it treks to Notre Dame next week for the first time since 2012. Enjoy this one.
"It was great to see our guys come through and do what we need to do in this game," said Brohm, whose offense scored TDs on seven consecutive possessions after coming up empty on the first drive.. "When you face a team that has gone through some adversity, you gotta make sure your guys come ready to play ... "
Purdue was ready today.
