Draft: Pollard at 10 | Ticker
Bernard Pollard was in his element.
On May 2, the former Boilermaker and retired NFL safety was on HSN, selling his Smart Sink Tray to television viewers. It's an idea — the tray partially covers a sink, providing more room for toiletries — that he came up with while playing in the NFL.
TV is a good match for the outgoing Pollard, giving him a platform as an inventor and salesman. He's doing a little of all of that nowadays, owner of a couple of companies that kept him active in football and the business world.
We caught up with the NFL veteran, who has been retired since an injury midway through the 2014 season, to find out the latest. The Fort Wayne native lives in Nashville with his wife and four children.
