Top Ohio Running Back Interested In Purdue

One of the top running backs in the Midwest lists Purdue among his favorite schools.
DeShaun Wynn of Reading High School in Cincinnati lists Michigan, Purdue, Ohio State, Pittsburgh and Penn State as his current favorites.

"There are a couple more in there, too," said Wynn, who reportedly is heavily interested in Alabama as well, "but those five are definitely up there."
Wynn is ranked as one of the nation's top 125 players by USA Today's Max Emfinger.
Purdue has offered Wynn a scholarship, as have most of his other favorites. Wynn says he's genuinely interested in the Boilermakers.
"I like the way they're recruiting me," Wynn said. "A bunch of their coaches have been here to see me."
As a junior for Reading last season, the 6-foot-1, 215-pounder with 4.34 speed rushed for 2,200 yards and 31 touchdowns, drawing the attention of schools everywhere, in part because of his versatility.
"I can be either a speed or power back," Wynn said. "And I can step out into the slot and play wide receiver too."
Purdue is recruiting Wynn strictly as a running back, he said, and some schools have expressed interest in him as a defensive back.
Don't expect a decision from Wynn any time soon.
"I'm pretty open right now," said Wynn, who has more than 30 scholarship offers. "I don't really have a leader. And I'm pretty sure I'll wait until after the football season to make a decision."
