Purdue had one of its highest-priority 2019 recruiting targets on campus for the third time Wednesday, as Louisville Moore's JJ Weaver attended the Boilermakers' spring practice.

The nationally recruited defensive end previously attended a camp in West Lafayette last summer and returned for a game in the fall.

This visit was different in the simple volume of time Weaver spent with Purdue's coaches, including a meeting with the entire defensive staff to review film and plays prior to practice and a half-hour meeting with head coach Jeff Brohm after practice.

"They told me I can be the man there," Weaver said, "and they want me real bad."
