Vs.: Best long-term backup option: Sipe or Sparks?
Purdue is down a quarterback for the final three games — and its subsequent push toward bowl eligibility — because of David Blough's season-ending injury.
We're certainly not advocating for new starter Elijah Sindelar to suffer a similar fate but thought it'd be an interesting debate on how Purdue should approach that scenario: If Sindelar goes down with a significant injury, which quarterback should guide the Boilermakers?
Should it be Sindelar's current backup Jared Sparks, who was converted to receiver this season and has been getting the bulk of his snaps there?
Or should it be true freshman Nick Sipe, who has been redshirting as a rookie?
Stacy Clardie and Kyle Charters offer their thoughts in our weekly series, "Vs."
