Freshman Focus: Purdue offensive lineman Viktor Beach

After most of Purdue’s training camp practices, Viktor Beach has spent extra time running, crossing from one football sideline to the other and back again.

It’s not been a requirement, but, “It’s encouraged, to say the least,” he said.

The reason for the work is simple: Beach has been trying to cut down weight, a long process of trimming off extra fat only to build back up more muscle. And he’s in the early stages of that progression.
