Nick Sipe doesn’t know what the next three weeks will bring.
The freshman quarterback is unlikely to play, but he’s a step closer to being pressed into emergency duty. And so he’s doing the only thing he can, making sure he’s as prepared as possible in the unlikely event he gets the call.
“We’re kind of playing it by ear,” Sipe said after Tuesday’s practice. “Obviously, there are a whole lot of things that can happen, so it kind of depends. It’s not easy to cover everything that can happen. We’re just making sure I’m ready.”
