Penn State simply shot Purdue out of the sort of strong start that's almost its birthright in Mackey Arena, but the Boilermakers' own shooting difficulties came to the forefront when its opportunities came later.
Three times, Purdue had chances to make the sort of shot that might have tilted the game, and three times three-pointers missed, two of them by Sasha Stefanovic and one by Matt Haarms.
