To help commemorate the 20-year anniversary of Purdue's magical turnaround 1997 season, GoldandBlack.com's staff will break up the rosters and select the best players to wear a Boilermaker uniform since Coach Joe Tiller's first season on the sidelines.
GoldandBlack.com's 20-year Purdue player draft will have 100 players chosen — two picks each weekday over 10 weeks. Boilermakers who were on Purdue rosters between 1997-2017 are eligible for selection. The draft order is Alan Karpick, Stacy Clardie, Kyle Charters and Brian Neubert.
Karpick is assembling the final pieces to his team as the 20th round commences.

Effort and production.
That is what Landon Feichter brought to the table for the Boilermakers at the safety position from 2011-14. He battled injury after injury, and he kept playing. And then he played some more. Feichter is the only player in my 21 years at Gold and Black where we had to do a diagram of his body to show all the places he was injured.
His 10 career interceptions rank him in the top 10 in school history, and leading the team in tackles in 2012 and 2014 also gets my attention. No, those were not stellar Boilermaker defenses, but Feichter was very active. And with the pressure my front will be able to bring, I like Feichter's ability to direct traffic from the back of the defense.
I never really understood why he was never in favor with Darrell Hazell's defensive staff. Maybe it was the former walk-on thing, who knows? All I know is, at the risk of repetition, this guy gave everything he had, sacrificed his body and put up numbers.
He can play on my team any day.
