GoldandBlack.com video series Lasting Legacy: Vincent Edwards

Previous installments: P.J. Thompson | Isaac Haas | Dakota Mathias

Vincent Edwards may only be 21, but he seems an old soul, a young guy with a weighty maturity.

That's probably, in part, because he's a dad to a 3-year-old, and fatherhood has drastically changed him. But he's always kind of been that way, too, focused and intent, goal-minded and a worker.

So what does a guy like that set for a New Year's resolution? And how did his Christmas go with a youngster who, finally, was able to enjoy the present-unwrapping festivities?

Edwards, one of Purdue's senior captains, shared the details on those pieces among other things — like why P.J. Thompson just can't rock the kind of hairstyle he does — in the latest installment of our GoldandBlack.com video series, "Lasting Legacy."

We're doing this series on the seniors, in part, because we initially featured this class when they were freshmen.

So we'll make sure to pair the most-recent installments with "flashbacks" from Year 1.

Here is Edwards' first piece, from mid-November, three years ago:
