Purdue football season ticket sales continue soaring.
According to Athletic Ticket Manager George Ade, 41,424 season tickets have been sold as of 4 p.m. today. In comparison, 43,796 season tickets were purchased a year ago, of which a Purdue-record 15,700 were sold to students.

This year’s student season ticket sales are nearing the 13,000 mark.
"Sales are really starting to pick up now that the students are coming back," Ade said Tuesday.
Single game ticket sales are also going well. No orders are currently being accepted for the Notre Dame game, but depending on how season ticket sales go over the next 10 days individual tickets for that particular contest may again go on sale. Individual tickets, however, are available for the other five home games. To date, 11,000 single game tickets have been sold for the Northwestern game (which added to the season tickets sales has attendance at the 52,424 mark for that game), which is Purdue’s Homecoming, while 8,200 have been purchased for the Illinois game, 8,000 for Iowa, 5,700 for Michigan State and 5,500 for Akron.
Individual tickets for three of Purdue’s five road games remain on sale. Contrary to the rumors, the season-opener Sept. 2 at Cincinnati is not sold out. As of last week, Ade said about 20,000 tickets had been sold for the Cincinnati game. The Bearcats’ Nippert Stadium seats 31,000. Boilermaker fans are encouraged to call Cincinnati’s Ticket Office (513-556-2287 or order online at www.ucbearcats.com/info/tickets) to purchase tickets, which are $20 each.
Purdue fans can also purchase tickets for road games against Minnesota and Indiana. Purdue has sold out of its allotment for the Michigan and Ohio State games, which was 2,000 and 4,000 tickets, respectively. Incidentally, Purdue gives opposing schools who visit Ross-Ade Stadium 5,000 tickets. That’s how many tickets Notre Dame gets, which is a far cry from the 10,000-plus the Irish fans used to receive when playing in West Lafayette.
Season tickets can be ordered by calling the Athletic Ticket Office at 800-497-7678 or 765-494-3194. Season tickets are $192 for the general public, $154 for Purdue faculty/staff and $72 for Purdue students. South end zone season tickets are also available to the general public and Purdue faculty/staff at $120 each. Purdue students can also purchase Gold Card season tickets, which are good for every Purdue sporting event except men’s basketball, for $90 apiece. In addition, Purdue students have the option of buying the Platinum Card, which gets them into every Purdue sporting event, for $178 each.
