After allowing a couple first-half scores last week against Illinois, Purdue's defense locked it down in the second, limiting the Illini to less than 100 yards and zero points.
Co-defensive coordinator and play caller Nick Holt was pleased with that effort and the fact the Boilermakers were able to dial up more pressures in the second half.
Holt talked about that plus looked ahead to Northwestern, which has a potentially potent QB-RB combination, after Wednesday's practice.
