More on Deen: Signee Profile ($)
Branson Deen had longed to play a stand-up defensive end position, but those desires never matched up with where his coaches at Lawrence Central in Indianapolis needed him.
So Deen did what was best for the team and produced as a defensive end.
And even though Purdue coach Jeff Brohm said on signing day that he thought Deen could, potentially, grow into an interior line position, Deen still held out hope for his ideal position.
And he seized an opportunity to speak with co-defensive coordinator Nick Holt about it on a visit. That led to a twist.
Deen discussed his Purdue future, what he'll miss about high school and broke down his chances to play as a freshman in our "Entrance Interview."
