Former Purdue captains enjoying roles as graduate assistant coaches

More: Robinson and Sinz talk new staff, Boiling Over ($)

More: 2017 spring primer

When Sean Robinson and Justin Sinz first learned they'd been added to Purdue's staff as graduate assistant coaches in January 2016, they were eager to begin a new journey together.

The former Boilermaker captains — they were both as seniors in 2014 — are good friends and thought it'd be cool to learn to handle the grind together.

That's been the case, they said.

They've seen each other develop coaching styles, grow in football knowledge and push players to reach their potential.

They'll probably have offices right across the hall in the new facility, same as now in Mollenkopf, allowing them to be available for the other to bounce ideas, to vent, if necessary, or to grab the other for lunch.

"It’s obviously really special," Robinson said soon after they were both hired. "We get to work together. We lived together (during school). We’ve sweated, played together, do everything together, and this is just the next chapter of being together."
