After a bit of quiet after its June deluge of commitments, Purdue landed its 15th Thursday as Florida pass-rusher Willie Lane committed to the Boilermakers during an unofficial visit.
"I felt like Purdue was the best opportunity for me," Lane said Thursday night.
The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Lane chose Purdue over offers from South Florida, Georgia State, Charlotte and Samford after Boilermaker coaches offered him in the spring.
He'll likely be listed as a defensive end to begin with but said he can play as an end, on the inside, or standing up, however Purdue feels it can put him in positions to pressure the quarterback.
"I'll be moving around," Lane said. "I can play them all."
