Purdue has landed a commitment from defensive back prospect Jordan Rucker, a few weeks after he officially visited for the Nebraska game.

The Rivals.com three-star prospect said he committed Sunday night.

The 6-foot, 185-pound native of Oklahoma — he now attends Ryan High School in Denton, Texas — chose the Boilermakers over Arizona State, SMU, Tulsa, Illinois and several other offers.

He may round out a class of defensive backs that also includes Indianapolis' Elijah Ball, Chicago's Byron Perkins and Kentucky's Kadin Smith and Cory Trice. Of the five, Rucker and Perkins project as corners.
