More: Purdue 2017 commitments
Purdue has landed its sixth commitment and third since Friday, as Florida offensive lineman Jylton Tusha announced he's pledged to the Boilermakers.
"The coaches have been talking to me a lot and I've done a lot of research on them and their criminal-justice program," Tusha said. "I think it's a good fit for me there."
The 6-foot-5, 300-plus-pounder from Jacksonville's University Christian also held reported offers from Cincinnati, Colorado State, Southern Miss and others.
An offensive tackle for University Christian, Tusha said it may be determined after he enrolls whether he'll play guard or tackle for the Boilermakers.
Either way, Tusha prides himself on physicality.
"They like how I'm aggressive, and that I'm a good run-blocker," he said.
"Run-blocking is probably what I do best. Smashing people in the face. I've always been a big kid and an aggressive kid and carried it over to the football field."
Tusha, who was primarily recruited by assistant coach Gerad Parker, said he expects to visit Purdue for the first time in July.
Tusha joins quarterbacks Nick Sipe and Griffin Alstott, running back Antwuan Branch, DB Mitch West and D-end Tijaun Mason as Purdue's 2017 commitments to this point.
