More: Jeff Brohm on Purdue signees | Big receiver Taylor eager to make mark ($)
When Purdue coach Jeff Brohm and his staff went looking for big, tall wide receivers, especially after what Anthony Mahoungou helped the offense accomplish late in the season, Hilliard Bradley receiver Kory Taylor popped.
Taylor is a legitimate 6-foot-5 option, and he said he's naturally gifted to use that size, especially by leaping to high-point balls over smaller cornerbacks. Taylor can run, too, as he competes in track for his high school and has clocked some considerably fast 100-meter dash times.
It'd seem a perfect mix for an outside receiver.
"I think his versatility, his height, his physical makeup is exactly what we're looking for," Brohm said on signing day in December. "We think he can be a special player for us as long as we keep him on track, keep him healthy and get him stronger. He's a very intriguing prospect with a lot of potential."
