In their first practice of the final week of spring, the Boilermakers worked out for about two-and-a-half hours on Monday afternoon.

They’ll have only one more practice — on Wednesday — before Saturday’s spring game, so tuning up is the biggest order of business.

Following are observations of the Boilermakers’ practice inside Mollenkopf on Monday:

• The wide receivers tried to clean some things up early in practice, when they spent an atypical amount of time working on their route precision, appearing to run through the entire tree.
