The following is our Report Card for Purdue’s game Friday, a 44-21 win over Ohio in Ross-Ade Stadium.
Passing offense
Purdue overwhelmed Ohio’s secondary with play calls and route patterns that frequently forced the Bobcats into choices of who to cover. And left with such a dilemma, they often didn’t cover anyone, leaving not only single Purdue receivers open but multiple ones.
On multiple plays.
Repeatedly.
