Elijah Ball looks the part of a safety potentially ready to play in college: About 6-foot-1, 195 pounds with, he says, a willingness to play physically.

But he'll still need Purdue's strength and conditioning staff and nutritionist to go to work when the Indianapolis native arrives in June. He loves junk food, whether it's honey buns or french fries.

Still, Ball figures he'll have a chance to fight for a spot on the two-deep in Year 1, and he's eagerly awaiting that chance. What will he bring? He answered that and much more in a recent "Entrance Interview," conducted while he was eating, naturally, during a period break from Ben Davis.
