P.J. Thompson certainly wants to finish his Purdue career with a special ride in the NCAA Tournament, starting this week in Detroit.

It's possible he'll get a chance to slip out of the hotel at some point, and maybe he'll explore downtown, which boasts the second-largest theater district in the U.S., outside of New York City.

Or maybe he'll steer away from that area.

Because though Thompson's affable personality, humor and chatty demeanor would seem the perfect fit for an actor, he shared his background in such endeavors on Monday and ... maybe not.

Still, Thompson was entertaining talk about needing a job, his clarinet experience, how he's eager for a fresh cut and a shave before primetime and much more in "Lasting Legacy," our video series featuring Purdue's seniors.

We're doing this series on the seniors, in part, because we initially featured this class when they were freshmen.

So we'll make sure to pair the most-recent installments with "flashbacks" from Year 1.
