Before the season, Dakota Mathias had high expectations.

He wanted to be at his best in his final season for the Boilermakers, knowing how much his versatility — the team's best defensive players, its best passer and its best shooter — could change the course of games.

So far, more than half a season in, Mathias has delivered in a big way, registering career highs in nearly every major category.

But how does the senior feel like he's playing? He talked about that in our latest "Lasting Legacy" video series that chronicles Boilermaker seniors. Plus, he reveals whether buddy P.J. Thompson ever revealed that Christmas gift, shares the backstory on his new beauty mark and more.

We're doing this series on the seniors, in part, because we initially featured this class when they were freshmen.
